Huni Kuin handwoven sacred bag in red and black. Fabrics handmade by the women of Aldea Caucho by the artisans surrounding the Txana Huya family.
Measures 12’’x11’’ with a 20’’ strap.
Bag's shape and design depict sacred patterns (Kené) passed down from generation to generation. Each image invokes specific energy of the Amazon relating to nature or spirituality.
Through wearing these patterns on our bodies we carry those energies with us for protection or good luck. All necklaces are hand-made by women of the communities, and their purchase supports those communities in withstanding the implications of the current global situation.
