Kuntanawa bracelet made by Roberto Kuntanawa and Kuntanawa artisans in Acre, Brazil. Bracelets depict sacred patterns (Kené) passed down from generation to generation. Each image invokes a specific energy of the Amazon relating to nature or spirituality. The Kuntanawa are ‘the people of the coconut’. The coconut is said to encapsulate the sun’s light and provide for all of the people of the forest.
Through wearing these patterns on our bodies we carry those energies with us for protection or good luck. All necklaces are hand-made by women of the communities, and their purchase supports those communities in withstanding the implications of the current global situation.
Measures 3.25” long and 3.5” wide
Recommended to take on and off using coconut oil
